About Us
Dave and I became interested in the Kuvasz breed in 1992 and we purchased a female puppy. Together, we trained Bailey and she became part of the family. Over the years, our family has grown to include more dogs, cats, ducks, game fish, and frogs. In the fall of 2002, our family has expanded to include our daughter, Sydney. Our Kuvasz have welcomed our latest family addition.

I formed Galaxy Kuvasz to highlight our Kuvasz stars. Galaxy Farms came with the move to a peaceful country setting and the additional variety in our family. Lindsey Beardslee has become an integral part of Galaxy Kuvasz as a partner. Lindsey lives with Tony and Celeste. We continue our training program and I evaluate the training in AKC obedience events. I also garner opinions of the quality of our breed stock in AKC conformation events. I enjoy the excitement of handling my dogs at these various events. I am a member of the Kuvasz Club of America (KCA). The KCA is the only national club recognized by the AKC. I am also a member of a licensed AKC Kennel Club. This club holds AKC sanctioned shows one weekend in September each year.

I desire to continue to learn more about Kuvasz. This learning is demonstrated in the puppies produced. At Galaxy, I am dedicated to only breed when I can contribute to improving the overall quality of the Kuvasz. My quality focus is structural soundness, temperament, type, and overall good health. Maintaining the Kuvasz type includes its working ability. All my breeding stock has OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) clearances as evidence. I also require OFA clearances from spayed or neutered Galaxy Kuvasz to assist in my lines’ structural evaluation.

All Galaxy Kuvasz are part of my extended family. I enjoy hearing about how they are doing. I am also a resource to helping my extended family or any Kuvasz fancier with any questions or advice. (See Extended Family Photos)

Dedications
We looked for a breed that would be loyal, protective, and of large size. I found a great breeder and great puppy. This site is dedicated to my first Kuvasz, Bailey, and her breeders Lynn Brady and Connie Townsend of Szumeria Kuvasz. Bailey was a puppy out of Szumeria’s first litter.

Bailey achieved great things like an AKC and CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) Conformation Championship. Bailey also attended the 1st Kuvasz National Specialty in Reno, Nevada. She won the Sweepstakes and was Reserve Winners Bitch in Breed competition. On July 3, 2003, Bailey joined her parents (Gabby and Seiger) and is watching over us from the clouds. Bailey taught me that Kuvasz provide a continuous learning opportunity and challenge. I hope to continue to share and to gain knowledge from others.
