Adoption Policy
Adoption of a Galaxy Kuvasz is a commitment for the life of the dog.

Puppies require a greater time commitment than an older dog. All Galaxy
Kuvasz owners shall participate in obedience and socialization classes.
Classes need to continue until the dog is approximately 2 1/2 years old.
Dogs adopted after the age of 2 and a half should attend at least one session
of an obedience course. The class will facilitate the bonding process with
the dog’s new family. Obedience sessions should be repeated with
all members of the household or based the instructor’s recommendations.
The AKC offers a certification program for meeting obedience and general
care criteria. The AKC certificate is called Canine Good Citizen (CGC).
All Galaxy Kuvasz should get a CGC certificate.
Galaxy Kuvasz are bred for the the highest quality. Nature dictates differences
in a litter. A full registration from the AKC means the quality should
go to a future generation. AKC judges confirm that opinion as the dog earns
its Championship. I want to co-own this dog to assure me that I support
the dog’s title earning process. Limited AKC registration assures
the owner of the dog’s pedigree. However, no progeny can be registered
with the AKC with a limited registered sire or dam. This dog will still
make a nice companion.
All Galaxy Kuvasz are guaranteed to be free of hip dysplasia. If a licensed
Veterinarian diagnoses a Galaxy Kuvasz with hip dysplasia; then Galaxy
will provide a replacement puppy. All Galaxy Kuvasz are required to have
their hips certified by Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) at age
2 years. A copy of the OFA certificate shall be mailed to Galaxy. Galaxy
Kuvasz should be taken to the owner’s local vet once per year (as
a minimum) for an exam and the maintenance of shots. Heartworm (if owner
lives in an area with mosquitoes) and flea and tick medications should
be administered under your vet’s supervision for your Kuvasz’s
health.
In the occurrence of a life-changing event, Galaxy wants to have the dog
returned to us. Galaxy will attempt to place the dog with another family.
The purchase of a Galaxy Kuvasz requires a commitment of your time to your
dog. If you are unable to commit to the TIME, then please do not purchase
a Galaxy Kuvasz. All Galaxy Kuvasz are sold with contracts.
